CERVICAL CANCER

CERVICAL CANCER

Thoughts on Cervical Cancer

January is a month set aside to create awareness of cervical cancer in Ghana.
Current research reveals that, this condition is very preventable yet it’s one of the major cancers killing our women today here in Ghana and in all other parts of the world.
It’s believed that cases of cervical cancer are caused by a high-risk type of HPV which is a virus that is passed from person to person through genital contact, such as vaginal, anal, or oral sex but there are other things that may increase the risk of developing cancer. They include:
* Smoking
* Taking birth control pills for a long time (more than 6 years)
* having given birth to many children etc.
It will however be a great move to make women aware of actions that can save them. One is advised to;
*Get regular Pap tests.
* Avoid being polygamous which means having sex with multiple persons.
* Using protection (condoms) can lower your risk
.
Unfortunately for us, when the month finally comes to an end this awareness creation will sadly go to bed. This should not be the case. Cervical cancer is a topic of great interest therefore, health centers and various / distinguished feminine groups must take it up to give women constant education to save lives.
Remember with Phinas your health is our Priority

    Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this website.

    It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very difficult to get that “perfect balance” between superb
    usability and visual appearance. I must say you’ve done a very good job with this.

    In addition, the blog loads extremely fast for me on Chrome.
    Excellent Blog!

    Keep up the good work!
